What we provide: This gorgeous neighborhood is full of quaint restaurants, designer shops, cafés, bars and hidden secrets.

I just stayed at 2 Rue Seguier, a 17th mansion on the banks of the Seine next to Notre Dame. Delphine Olivier is a gracious host and speaks English since she was raised in the US as a guest of her relatives. She has lived in Paris for 40 years and knows every nook and cranny of the city. The close proximity to metro St. Michel and the RER train service from Charles De Gaulle made our stay so convenient. The views of St. Chapelle, modern bath, and totally equipped kitchen and dining room, plus 2 bedrooms made this apartment ideal for my parents for a week. Wish we booked two weeks in retrospect.

You can't go wrong. She also owns another apartment at 15 Quai de Bourbon ( Arrondissment 4th ) on the Ile St. Louis where the famous artist Emile Henri Bernard once painted in the 1880's in case Rue Seguier is occupied. Check out web sites with plenty of maps and photos here: www.rueseguier.com andwww.quaibourbon.com You can book directly with Delphine Olivier by phone 011+33 (6) 11 690 526 and tell her Tom Brady sent you. She will smile. Enjoy!

For somebody who knows Paris since a long long time, from rather different perspectives, it is just the fulfillment of a dream to be able to be in this place: at the very heart of the historical centre where you simply have to make the one and only crucial decision every morning: "rive gauce or rive droite"? A quiet retreat from where you can conquer every part of this ever amazing place, by foot, by metro, by bus. Most importantly, you do not feel like a tourist, but simply as part of the scenery: just walk a few meters, buy your "baguette"/white bread and have your breakfast "at home". - but a home most Parisians would dream of! It was a privilege! In my case, the week in this appartment was the occasion to bring my parents over from Austria, giving them a calm place to feel at home and relax when you feel like it, and at the same time have the freedom to walk out and discover the historical centre, by just feeling part of it. Enough space for individuals to have some privacy if needed. I would not hesitate a second to go back again. And again....

My sister and I stayed at this apartment for one week in the summer of 2009 with our two 18 year old daughters. Perfect quiet, central location, just a short walk to the Metro that took us everywhere. Conveniently located near fantastic bakeries and ice cream shops, green grocer, bank machine, shops, restaurants - for everyday needs. The apartment was quiet and comfortable. We were there during a heat wave, so a few fans for air circulation would have been nice. There was lots of room for the four of us to spread ourselves out which is important with girls of that age. Handy wardrobes in the bedrooms. Nice kitchen and bathroom. Bookshelves were stocked with the latest Paris and France guidebooks and novels in both English and French. The staircase was a bit of a climb (on narrow stairs) after a day of sightseeing, but we got used to it as the week went on. We're accustomed to elevators everywhere in North America. We soon realized that in Paris, walking and stairs are what it's all about. Good thing we only had to lug our suitcases up once at the beginning and down at the end (much heavier at the end, it took two of us to safely get one suitcase down at a time). Besides that, I would definitely recommend this apartment for a family or a 'mother/daughter' group like ours.

We stayed in this apartment for a week in winter 2008-9. It is a fabulously spacious and well appointed . So peaceful it's hard to believe you're in central Paris! The location on Ile St Louis is unbeatable, and the apartment manager Delphine was so helpful. There is a bit of a climb up stairs to get to the apartment, but this is normal for properties governed by the Ministry of Culture. We'd strongly recommend this apartment as a great place to stay in Paris.

After we made the arrangements with Delphine Olivier, she made sure everything was just right for us. We loved the garden views from her spacious living room and found it very difficult to leave our sanctuary after Spending a week in Paris. The neighborhood is safe, well lighted, and boast several delis, coffee bars, and specialty stores which we visited every day. The location of the apartment to public transportation and METRO made our stay all the more enjoyable. At night if we needed a taxi, we had no trouble and wished we had booked longer.

Delphine took great care of us and I toured Quai de Bourbon during the renovations in October 2009.
This interior photo was taken at her other apartment 2 Rue Segiuer ( link  to  http://www.vrbo.com/105451  in the 6th also near Notre Dame.  Thank you for a wonderful, unforgettable week!  Delphine, You spoil your guests,

Thank you Delphine!!! Our family of four--2 adults, 2 kids under 9, stayed here for one week in mid-July. This flat is the best of all worlds-- affordable, AMAZING location, spotless and updated, and very comfortable. Walking distance to so many attractions (Louvre, Pompidou, Luxembourg gardens), 2 short blocks to Metro, and COUNTLESS yummy restaurants nearby. My kids loved the Gelato place that is around the corner. Delphine could not be more helpful in suggestions for food, logistics, things to do and really made us feel welcome. Our daughter lost a tooth while we were there and she introduced us to the Tooth Mouse--how fun!!! Delphine is very straightforward and honest in her dealings, which we did entirely by email, and I am very wary of doing so. I would STRONGLY recommend this place to anyone seeking a great, spacious (for Paris), centrally located place to explore Paris, and great for kids too. IF you have any questions, I am happy to answer them--you can get my information from Delphine.

We had the pleasure to stay in Delphine's Paris flat for a week in September. There were 2 of us (girl's dream trip) and it was great because we each had our own bedroom. The beds were very comfortable!! The bathroom is well appointed, as is the kitchen, but there are so many restaurants in the area, that we never cooked in. Delphine is a pleasure to deal with, never got to meet her as she was on holiday, but her sweet mother (who lives a floor below) showed us the ropes. The flat is beautifully located, within walking distance to many bistros, shops, metro, RER, etc. I have stayed in many Paris hotels, but I have now found my new home away from home in Paris at 2 Rue Seguier.

From the moment we arrived at the apartment we had a fantastic time. The apartment was clean, bright, airy and minutes from Notre Dame and Ste. Chapelle. We were in the heart of the 6th on a quiet street. We would absolutely return. We were with two kids and they loved the apartment and Paris.

May 2009 We spent 2 1/2 weeks in Delphine's apartment with our two young boys and were so pleased with everything from start to finish. Delphine is wonderfully easy and straightforward to deal with; the apartment is incredibly well located-- we developed a morning routine of walking a few blocks for pastries and groceries and could walk to many major attractions through charming neighborhoods; the apartment itself is lovely-- antiques mixed with modern conveniences; and the internet connection was fast and let us do work without a hassle. We really felt like we were in a home in the heart of Paris.

Our family of four enjoyed a wonderful ten days in Delphine's perfect apartment in May / June 2009. Everything was as she and other guests had described. It felt like we were in our own home; Delphine was always available if needed but left us alone otherwise. As noted by others, she makes it very easy to make arrangements for the rental and for the deposit. If other VRBO rentals are only half as easy, comfortable, and delightful, then we know that we will be fans of VRBO for a long time to come. We heartily recommend staying in Ms. Olivier's perfectly located and outfitted flat!

We stayed at 2 Rue Seguier March 14-20, 2009 and Delph's apartment was perfect for our family spring break in Paris. The apartment is just as pictured. It was very clean with absolutely everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal for walking to many (if not most) of the popular historical sites as well as the metro/RER station at St. Michel from which we went to Versailles and CDG airport. My wife, and I as well as our 13 and 11 year old children had no problem with the stairs to the 4th (American)Floor. It seemed a lot the first day but we quickly got used to it and didn't even notice it later in the week. The business transaction with the owner was very easy as she is honest and was very accommodating in handling the arrangements and answering questions promptly before our arrival. We did indeed have unlimited free calls to the USA as well as free wireless internet which worked perfectly with our laptop from home. (The owner even supplied us a USA to French plug adaptor) Overall: Nice 2 bedroom 1 bath apt in a great location with an individual owner rather than an agency. We would be glad to stay there again.

We can not agree more enthusiastically with the comments of the guests before us. It goes without saying that the location is unbeatable, but more importantly, the apartment allowed us (2 adults, 2 children) to feel a part of the neighborhood, if only for a week—we were steps away from the very busy Place St. Michel, and also a few steps away from neighborhood markets. The apartment’s horse theme delighted our daughter; the living and dining room space allowed us to comfortably work after dinner (unfortunately we had to) while the children played Monopoly Europe (which they loved!); and we lacked for nothing in the kitchen to prepare simple meals. The newly renovated bathroom was a nice treat, as well. Delphine is a delightful host; she was always available, but never intrusive. She shared a few stories with the children about growing up in Paris, and was most understanding about the minor Internet connection woes we were having—she really made us feel more like houseguests than tenants. We hope to return to Paris next year, and will certainly try to stay in this apartment again. Thank you, Delphine!

Our family (two adults and two teens 16 and 18) spent five fabulous days in this incredible and great apartment. This was our 3rd visit to Paris and each time we have stayed in the 6th Arr. which in our opinion is the best district in Paris. The apartment’s owner Delphine is a great host and a true Parisian. This apartment is actually her own home and while it is rented she lives with her family in the apartment upstairs. This provided great comfort for us knowing that the owner was nearby and available for any tips, suggestions, etc. Located on a quiet street the location is absolutely superb. You are steps away from the Seine for wonderful evening walks. The Metro and RER station is but a 2 min. walk which puts Paris at your doorstep. The Louvre and Notre Dame are also but a 5 min. walk. There are many café’s, bistro’s, restaurants and shops virtually steps from the apartment. The apartment has a fully stocked kitchen and I mean fully stocked! If you like to cook or eat in, there is a great local supermarket, several wine stores, butcher shop, cheese shop and best of all the Eric Kaiser bakery and patisserie all within a 5 min. walk. The Kaiser bakery opens at 7:00 am and their baguette, pastries and other goodies including pizza and a wide variety of desserts are truly out of this world. We found ourselves there at least three times a day buying bread, croissants, pain au chocolate and other delights to enjoy back at our apartment. A nice feature is that the apartment comes with free internet and telephone anywhere in the world! This was great for our two teens who were able to connect with their friends back home. The true Parisian experience doesn’t get any better than this. We can’t wait to be back.

We just returned from a week in Paris and had a fabulous time. Delphine's apartment was the perfect place to stay. My daughter, who is studying in Paris, joined us and we had a great week together. Every morning I went out and bought croissants from the numerous patisseries nearby. Every evening, when we left for dinner, the first thing was saw was Notre Dame bathed in light. We walked everywhere and were able to make ourselves a cup of tea in the afternoon. I couldn't imagine a better location in Paris.

We have just returned from a wonderful week spent in Delphine's flat. This was the first trip to Paris for my wife and two kids (19 and 16), and I was anxious to make it as (a) convenient, (b) fun and (c) stress free as possible. We happily report that staying in this historic and beautifully-maintained mansion at 2 rue Seguier helped us achieve our goals on each of these counts. As for convenience, it just could NOT get any better. So many of the major museums, parks and sights are within easy walking distance that we were able to cover many more places and things than we had hoped to. For attractions farther away, there are several metro stops (St. Michel, Odeon, Sorbonne-Cluny, Cite) and an RER train station (on the A line, which goes straight to the Eiffel Tower, D'Orsay, Versailles, etc.) literally down the street. You simply cannot appreciate how convenient the apartment is until you stay here. As for fun, what can you say? You are located in the midst of the Latin Quarter and Place St. Michel to the east and St. Germain des Pres to the west (with Ile de la Cite steps away to the north). My wife and I could easily have spent our entire week exploring the creperies, sidewalk bistros, food stalls, shops and galleries along rue Saint Andres des Artes, rue de Buci, rue de Seine and the many other pedestrian-friendly streets right in the neighborhood. Likewise, our kids had a blast wandering the Latin Quarter, mingling with local students, eating oysters and cockles at Le Bar a Huites, checking out the Lady and Unicorn tapestries and Roman baths at the Musee National du Moyen Age (Cluny) and browsing at the Album shops near the Sorbonne. Finally, Delphine and her family make this a completely stress-free experience. Delphine explained all arrangements in advance via email; the booking and confirmation process was simple and transparent. Once we got to the apartment, Delphine's son Charles, who lives upstairs, was a great resource for any 'how to' questions we had about the apartment, wi-fi access, and the like. And, with so many bakeries, patisseries, charcuteries, and other take-away food shops close by (especially on rue de Buci), we really appreciated having a full kitchen and spacious dining room - both amply stocked - at our disposal (as well as the convenience of the washer/dryer). We have stayed previously at rental properties in Hawaii, Asia, and Florida. Most have met our expectations; others not quite. We would put Delphine's place at the top of our list and heartily recommend it to anyone who is willing to trade daily maid service and a hotel concierge to tell them what to see and where to eat for an unique opportunity to stay in and explore a great neighborhood in one of the world's greatest cities.
